PrintToday is a big day for the Georgia Bulldogs, for reasons that go well beyond the renewal of the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry. For instance, there's a game going on in Columbia, S.C., that holds a certain interest for us in Bulldog Nation, so please use this thread to discuss the early games, and the build-up to our game, for which the comment thread is scheduled to open at 2:30.

I have had to watch game after game on gameday in SD TV - and yet today I get UK Vandy in HD on local tv.

I have had no shortage of smack talk from Auburn fans. Here’s to UGA beating Aubarn down like OSU is destroying Tubby. Hopefully it is an omen for our good. In agreement with TKK—Auburna delenda set! Go Dawgs!

It has taken me the whole first half to decide this
I don’t care how much Florida beating Carolina might help UGA, I just cannot find it inside me to actually wish for the Gators to win. UGA can still win the East without the LCC’s getting another victory. GO DAWGS

Penn St. Losing 10-0 to Nebraska in the 3rd
I cannot imagine what Beaver Stadium is going to be like if they lose,things could get ugly up there.

Besides, I don’t think they really thought they had a good shot anyway from what I gather. The stadium is about 70% adults and I imagine they’ll act like it. Most of the students probably will too.

Ok Athenians, I need a replacement for Jot 'Em Down BBQ.
I’m still dejected over Jot ‘Em Down closing, and I need a recommendation for where I might get the most Jot ’Em Down-esque barbecue. One of my colleagues recommended Barbecue Shack on Lexington. At work we’ve had both Butt Hutt and Fresh Air catered. I remember liking one a lot and the other not so much, but I can’t for the life of me remember which is which. Weaver D’s is probably my favorite restaurant in town, but I love all his other stuff so much that I haven’t yet gotten around to trying his barbecue. I’m not interested in Harry’s, Shane’s, or Sonny’s (I hope this last would go without saying). I especially loved Jot ‘Em Down’s blackened crispy bits from the outside of the meat… (God, I’m making myself just miss them more now.) Anyone have suggestions? I’ll be bringing it home to watch the game, so the atmosphere of the restaurant isn’t a consideration.
