Dawgs Macabre: Who Ya Gonna Call?

Stay connected for news and updates

For the first weekday of Hate Week, I've written a poem dedicated to a man who has saved our Bulldog bacon many times over. True, some might think he's a little too passionate and has too big a temper, but whenever the other team's threatening to score, I know who I wanna call. I have included a karaoke-style YouTube video for anyone who wants to sing along as well as a special picture illustrating part of the poem. With apologies to Ray Parker:

Coach Grantham!

Fourth and fifty-sev'

has you on tenterhooks.

Who ya gonna call?

Coach Grantham!

You've gone three and out

cuz of the Green Notebook.

Who ya gonna call?

Coach Grantham!

He ain't afraid of no Weis.

He ain't afraid of no Weis.

If their running back

finds an open hole.

Who can ya call?

Coach Grantham!

An invisible foul

gives ‘em first and goal.

Who ya gonna call?

Coach Grantham!

He ain't afraid of no Weis.

He ain't afraid of no Weis.

Who ya gonna call?

Coach Grantham!

Give the Gators fits

when he dials up the blitz.

Good call!

Coach Grantham!

He ain't afraid of no Weis.

He doesn't care for Weis.

He ain't afraid of no Weis.

Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof!

Who ya gonna call!

Coach Grantham!

Gators pay the price of that

freaky Weis (genius!).

Ya better call

Coach Grantham!

Let him tell ya something:

"Tacklin' makes me feel good!"

He ain't afraid of no Weis.

He ain't afraid of no Weis.

"Don't get caught by refs, no, no."

Coach Grantham!

He'll face down any boor

dumb enough to want some more.

I think you better call

Coach Grantham!

Who ya gonna call?

Coach Grantham!

Who ya gonna call?

Coach Grantham!

I think you better call

Coach Grantham!

CTG ain't afraid of no Weis, and neither are his Weis-busting Dawgs.
