It's another autumn Saturday, and the Georgia Bulldogs are playing another night game. Regarding that contest with the Vanderbilt Commodores, there will be a comment thread open about an hour before kickoff, for the benefit of those of you who will not be joining us in Athens for the Second Annual Dawg Sports Sacrificial Goat Roast. In the meantime, however, there are other games of note being played in this great land of ours today, some of which I suspect many of you intend to watch, if only to kill time before the kickoff in Nashville.
One such game of significance is the outing between the Auburn Tigers and the Florida Gators, those two teams of stalwarts in orange and blue (which I like to abbreviate "S.O.B.s"). The contest pits two despised rivals of ours, and, frankly, I am torn. On the one hand, I always like to see Florida lose, and another Gator loss effectively would eliminate the Sunshine State Saurians from contention in the Eastern Division. On the other hand, I always like to see Auburn lose, too, and it might not be a good thing for us for Florida to go into the bye week with the desperation a three-game losing streak would encourage.
