The Mark Richt Victory Watch
For the second straight Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs claimed a two-touchdown victory over an SEC opponent from the Magnolia State in a game in which the ‘Dawgs were dominant defensively yet allowed the other team to remain within striking distance due to second-half offensive anemia and field goal woes. Nevertheless, the end result was a win, which affords us the opportunity to update the Mark Richt Victory Watch.
Mark Richt registered his 99th victory as the head coach of the Red and Black this afternoon, putting him 102 wins behind Vince Dooley’s all-time school record. Mark Richt did so in his 135th game as the Classic City Canines’ skipper; by coincidence, Wally Butts’s 135th game as the Georgia head coach also was against the Mississippi St. Bulldogs.
Coach Richt has the most wins, the fewest losses, and the highest winning percentage of any Red and Black head coach 135 games into his tenure. At the identical juncture in their respective careers, Coach Butts (91-37-7, .700) and Coach Dooley (89-41-5, .678) both trailed Coach Richt (99-36, .733).
Go ‘Dawgs!

That's exactly my thought after watching the game today.
It will be very fitting for him to earn number 100 against Tennessee.

Donnan also got his 100th against the Vols
Would be neat to duplicate that feat….
Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more-
I'd rather see 102 before the end of the month
if ya know what I mean.

It blows my mind
that with these numbers Mark Richt could very possibly lose his job…. I guess that’s the world we live in, Although I must admit that if he doesn’t do something about the offense, or lack thereof, then maybe it’s his time. I wrestle with this week in and week out. I really love this coach and I would absolutely HATE to see him go, I personally don’t want anyone else, I want CMR to make the necessary changes that will bring our program back to, dare I say, relevance. As it stands, I do not see us being able to play with Florida…yet again. I sure hope to be proved wrong.

CMR will not be fired this year.
We are going to win at least 8 games. The hot seat talk can just stop, because unless CMR losses out, he is here for 2012.
And yes, it wouldnt surprise me to lose to UF, just because.

Have you listened to my last two radio shows? I lay it out pretty clear there.

No matter what
Happens the rest of this year… I want to see CMR coaching the bulldogs next season. We have continued improving each game this season, and have a realistic chance of being in the national discussion next season.
