Grantham explains cause and effect.

"Sometimes we might slack off and do something [wrong] in practice, and he'll tell us, ‘That what gets you to 8 and 5,'" safety Nick Williams said. "You might mess up a play, and he tells us, ‘That's what makes you go 8 and 5.' He just keeps our attention. He keeps us going hard.

"Every day, he's letting us know. ‘Eight and five. Eight and five. Eight and five.' Every day. That's something we do not want to experience again."
