Scoreboard Video of 2009 Football Highlights
I had two reactions while watching this:
1. I . . . can't . . . wait . . . for . . . football . . . season!
2. The 'Dawgs had a lot of great plays last year . . . yet they still lost five games, and they easily could have lost each of their other eight games except the wins over Vanderbilt and Tennessee Tech. Georgia may be this close to putting it all together . . . or this close to having it all fall apart. I'm excited about the 2010 season, but, honestly, it scares me to death.

The Florida "highlight" has got to go
It’s simply too jarring to see those odd uniforms and then be reminded of the whole debacle.
As for the rap, it can’t hurt to have fight songs that modern students and athletes will enjoy. I especially like the line at the end “Smokey ain’t a real dog, let me volunteer.”
I'm completely cool with the music.
I’m just scared to death about the season.
Also, I’m still livid about the penalty for the hit on Dez Bryant in the Oklahoma State game. Just watching the play again ticked me off.
Go 'Dawgs!
I wasn't going to say anything...
… but, yeah, that just made me mad all over again.
I mean, are we going to turn around in 10-15 years and see that the game has become 2-hand touch? Your job as a defender is to kill the guy with the ball. Dez Bryant got racked up, and wasn’t speared, hit helmet-to-helmet, or hit with a helmet at all. It was a legal hit, and it occurred after the ball had already arrived. The fact that it could have caused permanent bodily harm doesn’t have anything to do with the fact that it was legal.
Let the men play football.

I could not more totally be with you on that, vineyarddawg.
It looked legal in real time and in person, and it has looked legal in every replay I’ve seen since. It was a BS call. It didn’t change the outcome, and it might not even have changed the score, but it was a bad call on a great play. Makes me mad every dadgum time.
Go 'Dawgs!
