Da'Rick Rogers D'arrested
I can't take credit for the "d'arrested" line. Thank you Paul Westerdawg! Classic!
Guess they were right about him being bad news. After all we dawg fans have been through recently, at least we avoided this. It looks as if anywhere from 7-10 football players were involved. There's video of the brawl and it's not pretty. And then there's possible NCAA violations because the owners of the bar were dumb enough to admit that the football players were given VIP status and were not made to pay a cover. Just a mess of a situation and it will be interesting to see how Derek Dooley handles it.

I have a vision
In my head, hearing about a fight between 7-10 football players and 1 (or 2, depending on when the cop jumped in) person conjures images of Superman fighting the Miami Dolphins. This guy must have been Rampage Jackson to hold up against 10 defensive players for UT. Or, UT’s defense is alot softer than we all thought.
is it bad that this made me laugh?

Leaving insightful football commentary and analysis to other people since 2006.
Saw that and thought the same thing.
What a shame. And for a D.U.I.? Right after everything with Damon? I just don’t get it.
For real.
You can tell me they’re college students who didn’t feel like they had money for a cab—-I wouldn’t buy that, but you could say it with a straight face—-but there’s no way you can tell me they didn’t have someone they could call to come pick them up and cart them home.
This is a simple process, really. Do your drinking at home. Do your drinking at the home of a friend with whom you can crash. Choose a designated driver. Arrange to have a friend come pick you up at the end of your evening of drinking. The forethought involved is minimal.
Go 'Dawgs!
Better yet
Don’t drink. Because it is different to be a student athlete.

Would offering rides home to drunk athletes
Be considered an NCAA rules violation? Cause I only live 20 minutes away.

You've got a point there....
I seem to recall a Lewis Grizzard article about how a ride was offered either to a player, a recruit, or the friend of and how that was considered to be an NCAA Rules Violation, but the memory is a bit vague, I’ll have to scour my Grizzard archives for it.
