Paul Westerdawg Breaks Down the Athletic Director Search Committee
Interesting note that probably is neither here nor there: my wife, Susan, used to tutor Tom Landrum's daughter.

There is very little room for complaint . . .
about that committee. I am as harsh a critic of Mike Adams as you’ll find, but so far he has handled this situation the right way. He made a decision that was swift, but not rash, regarding the need for change. He then rounded up a committee to lead the search whose members are likely to be relatively independent, and set a reasonable timetable to complete the search. I’m still holding my breath to see how this thing ends next year, though. There’s still plenty of time for him to veto a boatload of good suggestions.
Well, as Paul notes,
Adams has a lot to lose and not much to gain by making an ego-fueled, bad decision. This decision will be very pivotal in shaping his legacy. I’m sure he’s well aware of what a bad hire could do to him.
