MOTHER FRACKING HELL. SOMEBODY KILL A GOAT AT THE ARCH OR SOMETHING.
I wish I could claim credit for this line, but tankertoad wrote it, not me. (I know. You're totally surprised.)
For crying out loud, were the blackout jerseys manufactured at a plant built on an Indian burial ground or something? At a certain point, this kind of bad luck can't be random.

From Twitter:
" @redandblack reports name the other person in the car with Evans as Courtney Furhrmann, 28, of Atlanta, She was arrested for disorderly conduct"
I’m guessing that’s not his wife?
holly &($* - next thing we are going to hear is he had an eight ball of cocaine with him and has been cooking the books at UGA

Courtney Furhrmann?
She must be of eastern european heritage to have a last name with 9 letters and only 2 vowels.
/Hey, you gotta laugh to keep from crying
I'm pretty sure that's the same last name . . .
. . . as Steve Martin’s character from “The Man with Two Brains.”
This just went from bad to worse. I believe the sound you just heard was the other shoe dropping.

exactly my thoughts Kyle
I was trying to explain this to my lady sitting here (i am on leave today) and she really didnt care either way (not a fan) and then I explained “it wasnt his wife” and she was like, “oh, damn, that aint good”

Exactly.
You hate to assume before all the facts are known, but, when you heard the news, you had to think: “Why didn’t he call somebody to come get him? Why didn’t he call a cab? Why is the press being so circumspect and gender-nonspecific about the identity of his passenger?”
It could still be that the weaving and the mug shot can be explained by tiredness on the part of a hardworking guy driving home late at night, and this woman could have been a business associate, but it’s getting harder and harder to believe anything about this will turn out at all well.

according to linkedin...
Courtney Fuhrmann is in real estate and asset management. She isn’t Damon’s wife but she isn’t a working girl and doesn’t have an adam’s apple…. so at least there’s that.

Teh suxorz
The chicken curse is contagious. That’s just all there is too it.
On a serious note, my deepest prayers go out to Damon’s sweet wife & his wonderful children. They do NOT deserve this.
Damon, you had everything-prestige, respect, power, money, a fantastic reputation, success, a beautiful family, your health, etc., etc., etc. You are too smart for such colossal stupidity.
"Somebody Kill a Goat the Arch..."
Somehow, someway David Allan Coe is writing a song. This is the title.
My sides hurt from laughing. Or crying. Or both.

Things better improve pretty darned quickly . . .
. . . or we’re going to kill a goat at the Arch at halftime of the Colorado game on October 2!
Go 'Dawgs!
not sure we can wait that long...
I don’t have any weekend plans. I have access to a chicken. Does anyone know how we can get our hands on an alligator, wildcat, naval officer, or pre-20th century militia member?

Can the alligator be human?
Too many UF alums where I work. I don’t think we’d miss one or two…

I'm game...
I think desperation being at an all time high allows for some moral flexibility on this issue

that is freakin hillarious
however, i think we’ve probably witnessed enuf moral flexibility
Will this involve fans storming the presser and running down the street after his car
and doing some wierd creepy DE shirt burning? I hope we dont go out like that, but, I can’t believe I am saying this, I can understand how they felt even more now. Just how quickly can DE get out of town?
He needs to IMMEDIATELY tender his resignation and make a public apology and get the hell out of the way. If he creates any drama or excuses I fully hope Adams shuts him down and up. We can not let this linger or smolder. Clean house, promote Carla at least for this year, and get this fixed.

Depending on to whom you speak...
…Damon is an Adams guy or he’s a Dooley guy. I, personally, find him to be a compromise between them both which will make it easier for Adams to ask him to resign.

How damn stupid can one soul be......
if what I am hearing is true DE is toooooooooo stupid to be AD…….just sayin.
I miss the days when our biggest problem was how we were going to deal with sky-high expectations.

Don't know if there's any old-school wrestling fans, but

Inhale deep, like the words of my breath—I never sleep, cause sleep is the cousin of death
Isn't that the character from "Live and Let Die" . . .
. . . who was played by the “Don’t you feel good about—-ah ha ha ha!—-7-Up?” guy?
Go 'Dawgs!
That picture..
..is of old-school wrestler Papa Shango. You’re thinking of the actor Geoffrey Holder who played Baron Samedi.
Live and Let Die
Certainly looks like him. Same idea, anyway. But honestly, I was too mesmerized by Solitaire with her mismatched eye colors to remember much else.

And for me to be mesmerized by such is saying something.

He is refereing to the overall karma of the program. Not the individual himself. References back to several other posts/threads about a dark cloud over Athens.

Ah, I see.
It is certainly the latest in a disturbingly long line of recent negative happenings in the UGA AD.
That's a better way of saying it; I regret the suggestion that this was mere happenstance.
You are quite right: a DUI arrest is the result of poor decisionmaking, for which there must be consequences. No ill fortune was involved. We just seem to have had a lot of bad things happen in the last two and a half years, on the field and off.
