Its a sad day when you realize that your sanity hangs in the balance of your school’s performance in hunt seat equitation on the flat

Not related to the topic of your post, but I couldn’t help thinking about CMR last night during the coverage of John Wooden’s passing. With all the discussion about how Coach Wooden was a deeply religious man who genuinely cared about people and whose number one priority was strengthening the character of the young men he coached, I had to dispute the people on TV saying “they don’t make ‘em like that anymore.” While of course Coach Richt has not (yet) had the success Coach Wooden had, it seems clear, at least to me, that national championship-level success is very possible for our man. Further, it seems from my non-insider perspective that CMR has his priorities in the same order Coach Wooden did – be extremely competitive, but win the RIGHT way. If my son grows up to play a sport, that’s the sort of man I want to be his coach. I just hope our fanbase doesn’t lose sight of the treasure we have (Coach Wooden did have 16 seasons at UCLA before he won his first championship, after all), because I want CMR’s eventual, and to my mind inevitable, success to occur at Georgia, not somewhere else.
Hated i've been missing all the fun threads
Been on vacation in SoCal with family. Glad to see things are continuing to be the best glass half empty program in the nation.
Ditto on mr. Kumatan’s comment.
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win.
