never did as best I could tell...
and the man has been a helluvan ambassador for the program. He’s proud of his time in Athens, speaks fondly of it, his mom spoke well of it and our fans this morning on ESPN, and every time his name has been mentioned on ESPN the last two years or so, they ALWAYS mention him as a “former University of Georgia star”. Dare I say he’s the better things to happen to Georgia tennis since Dan Magill? Not the best mind you, as so many things could contend for that title, but he’s definitely up there. He must make Manny Diaz’s recruiting pitch a lot easier.

Cause nothing is better than having professional exposure like Isner wearing uga gear all over ESPN and on the Today Show.

around Pebble Beach over the weekend, we’ve had some pretty good spokesmen for the athletic program lately.
Perhaps my favorite summation of the awesomeness of Isner/Mahut:

For Best Record Breaking Performance. The match was just completed today. Just goes to show how incredible it was and how much national attention it got very quickly.

i just wish i could post to all UGA athletes everywhere:
if you are on national tv and show up in a Dawg shirt – you move to super hero status. He looks so much like a Georgia boy it kills me. I hope he wins the whole damn thing.
