Athens to Host NCAA Softball Regional

PrintDespite the Bulldogs' first-round exit from the SEC tournament, the Georgia softball team earned a No. 6 national seed, an honor which is accompanied by the right to host a regional competition in the Classic City. Southern Conference champion Elon, Florida State, and Big South champion Radford will join the Red and Black in Athens.
The Bulldogs begin regional competition on Friday night. Georgia is one of seven SEC teams to make the NCAA tourney field.

Last year was a great run the in the national tournament, but this is the year. The Georgia softball team is one year more experienced, and I am looking forward to watching this great softball team advance in the tournament this year. Good luck to all the girls, and GO DAWGS!
