Were Football Players Involved in the Taxi Cab Incident?

The police report linked to in the Red & Black article states that a victim recognized the four individuals in the cab as Georgia football players, but the student newspaper made no mention of that allegation and David Hale knows nothing.

Needless to say, I am not going to make any assumptions without facts upon which to base those assumptions. In the meantime, Spencer Hall greets the news with good humor and some other fans respond with an appalling level of tactlessness and ignorance.

Losers w/ Socks

They write posts like that about UGA/UA/UF all the time. They post stuff like that (and stuff even more stupid than that) on purpose to piss people off. If you let them get under your skin they win lol.

Thanks

I’d heard the name “Losers with Socks,” but I don’t believe I’d ever visited their site before.

Anyway, it’s a developing story and David Hale is on it.

No prob and thanks for the link

Considering the guys were supposedly dropped off at ECV, I guess it’s likely that all or some of the guys were football players. But I’m still just curious as to why the guy just said all the guys were UGA football players. It seems like he would have to be pretty knowledgeable about the team to be so confident as to declare four guys he briefly saw on a nighttime cab ride to be UGA football players.

Whoever the guys were…
A.) What a nasty thing to do.
B.) But also what an incredibly DUMB way to get in trouble. It’s one thing for some college guys to end up getting in a tussle after letting their emotions get the better of them. Or to have some minor alcohol related deal that didn’t affect anyone else. This on the other hand seems like pure stupidity. Did they really think they would not be in trouble or not identified eventually? Unreal.

You've been missing

absolutely nothing. Other than the 5 minutes of your life you can’t get back.
