LSU got the monkey off their back...

can we do the same regarding road-woes?

Again, turnovers. Unless they have blueberry in ’em and are served with milk, I hate ’em.

Carolina was wearing 'em the other night . . .

. . . as part of Nike’s 25th anniversary celebration of Air Jordans.

Since we’re a Nike school, I’m guessing that’s the source of the silver, although, fortunately, it is a uniform color with which we have considerable history.

Our defense, 3 balls aside, has been pretty poor.

we’re giving up too many baskets close in. And Trey with a couple of fouls. Fox was wise to keep him on the bench for most of the last 10 minutes.

He was only suspended for 1 game, I think...

Coach Fox has a more reasonable approach to discipline that Felton did. If Felton was still here I’m sure Albert would probably be changing the furnace filters in the bowels of Brumby Hall.

Seven turnovers per side, Georgia leading 22-14 in points in the paint, both teams in the 43 per cent range from the field, both teams nailing their free throws, Fox Hounds getting killed on threes.

Who’d have thought?

We look like Clemson at the free throw line.

And for those of you who do not know, that is bad.

My son clearly wasn't the problem.

I should wake him up and bring him up here in hopes of reversing our fortunes.

Unfortunately, your use of that term is looking like the highlight of the night.

Only appropriate that Gamecock Nation

should have “While I breathe I hope” as their state motto.

It's on ESPNU . . .

. . . if you get that (which I don’t).

The Ricky McThree fan club has gotten home

So it will be rowdy chaos, and maybe a little luck.

by hbtd on Feb 25, 2010 9:17 PM EST reply actions

I could do with some rowdy chaos, and definitely a little luck

Also, I think we’re starting to get the first inkling of the end of the sugar surge and the start of the post-milkshake crash.

At least we're not talking about his affinity for earth tones and tailored suits . . .

. . . unlike some Georgia men’s basketball coaches I could name.

And Fox is using some saucy language.

Fox is hot as hell...

I mean, letting these guys play is one thing, but there’s some home-cookin’ going on under the boards.

Disappointing

But best away game we’ve played all year.

If that isn’t progress, I don’t know what is.

by RedCrake on Feb 25, 2010 9:31 PM EST via mobile reply actions

Next year?

I mean some of the losses have sucked, but we did beat Vandy earlier in the year and if you’d told Georgia fans at the beginning of the season that we’d beat 3 — almost 4 — top 25 teams, most wouldve been thrilled.

It is frustrating, but we can see that CMF has his team doing (mostly) the right things.

We are better. Hope Leslie and Thompkins hang around to take us to the promised land.

Well, dang

Until next time...

Hope those of you who can go show up for Florida on Saturday. At least we’ve got a few home games to play…and it looks like if we’re going to break through on the road it’ll have to be at LSU or in the Tourney.

It seems something else Mark Fox has been able to do this year is getting people to start talking about Georgia Basketball. I’d mark that as a sign of progress.
