Georgia Bulldogs at Vanderbilt Commodores, Feb 25, 2010 7:00 PM EST
Is tonight the night the Georgia Bulldogs notch their first conference road win under Mark Fox and secure a second straight SEC victory, or has last weekend's triumph produced false hope?
We're about to find out, and, if you're along for the ride, join in the fun in the comments below as the Red and Black travel to Nashville to tangle with the Vanderbilt Commodores.

LSU got the monkey off their back...
can we do the same regarding road-woes?
Again, turnovers. Unless they have blueberry in ’em and are served with milk, I hate ’em.

Never seen 'em before myself.

Carolina was wearing 'em the other night . . .
. . . as part of Nike’s 25th anniversary celebration of Air Jordans.
Since we’re a Nike school, I’m guessing that’s the source of the silver, although, fortunately, it is a uniform color with which we have considerable history.

I like our early transition game.

Vandy couldn't throw it in the ocean from "3" land against UK.
No issues so far tonight. Dang.

Vandy has a dude on their team
named Chaingang. Of course, it’s not spelled that way, but it’s nearly as badass as Bacarri Rambo.

Our defense, 3 balls aside, has been pretty poor.
we’re giving up too many baskets close in. And Trey with a couple of fouls. Fox was wise to keep him on the bench for most of the last 10 minutes.

I’m here. My 2 year old was just demanding my attention. He clearly jinxed the end of that half. My wife removed him before we went on our run … Its his bedtime anyway.

Kudos for the Police reference
I saw them at the Omni on my 15th birthday. The show was filmed and later aired on Showtime. You can still find copies of it sometimes.

Glad Leslie is getting the love from the announcers
He deserves it. Would hate to see him overlooked at all conference team time.

He was only suspended for 1 game, I think...
Coach Fox has a more reasonable approach to discipline that Felton did. If Felton was still here I’m sure Albert would probably be changing the furnace filters in the bowels of Brumby Hall.
"If we score, we may win. If they never score, we'll never lose."

But Billy Humphries would still be driving drunk.
The problem with Felton was inconsistency.

(a) The Saints are going 6-10 next year.
(b) Now Drew Brees can afford to have that birthmark removed.

Can those numbers be right?
Seven turnovers per side, Georgia leading 22-14 in points in the paint, both teams in the 43 per cent range from the field, both teams nailing their free throws, Fox Hounds getting killed on threes.
Who’d have thought?
Go 'Dawgs!
We were doing alright on turnovers...
then probably had 3 or 4 in a row.

I am now officially in full-on '80s mode
It must be the Chick-fil-A vanilla milkshake I had with supper going to my head, but Tchiengang’s name reminds me of “Chainsaw” from “Summer School.” It’s hard to remember now, but, in 1987, Kirstie Alley was outrageously smoking hot.

We have taken a lot of shots tonight
48 field goal tries (to Vandy’s 40) and 14 three-pointers (to their nine) . . . but only five free throws (to their 17).

That's it.
We’re taking up a collection for the complete Woody Woodpecker DVD collection, several boxes of Cheerios, and any other healthy vice for your son and sending him to Uncle Dave’s mom’s for the next Georgia athletic event of consequence that is on TV.

Don't get me wrong . . .
. . . it was a great milkshake, but the combination sugar rush/brain freeze is killing me.
I ain’t as young as I used to be.
Go 'Dawgs!
Sugar rush/brain freeze...
that’s why all my shakes has some BOURBON in ’em.
"If we score, we may win. If they never score, we'll never lose."
-Erk Russell
I tried that once, in a nod to "Pulp Fiction"
It was quite good. I highly recommend it.
I’m pretty sure putting bourbon in a Chick-fil-A milkshake is a sin, though.

. . . I’m not entirely sure you’re not a character in a Harry Crews novel.
That’s a compliment, by the way.
Go 'Dawgs!
Never read a Harry Crews novel...
recommend one to me.
I just finished reading, “Blood Meridian” by Cormac McCarthy (he of ‘The Road’ and ‘No Country for Old Men’) I need something a little less sanguineous.
"If we score, we may win. If they never score, we'll never lose."
-Erk Russell
I'm pretty sure everything is less sanguine than Blood Meridian . . .
. . . which is the best Cormac McCarthy novel I’ve read (although, to be fair, I’ve read only a limited number of his novels).
For Crews, I’d go with A Feast of Snakes.
Of course, it goes without saying that you can’t overcook bacon, you can’t put too much butter on a baked potato, and you can’t read too much Faulkner.

Dang, Kyle. Why did you have to mention bacon at this late hour? Or, Thanks!

If you ever want to subject yourself to some punishment, try going to UGA for a year and then transferring to a school that makes you live in campus housing your first 2 years and is a dry campus regardless of whether or not you are 21.

I mean some of the losses have sucked, but we did beat Vandy earlier in the year and if you’d told Georgia fans at the beginning of the season that we’d beat 3 — almost 4 — top 25 teams, most wouldve been thrilled.
It is frustrating, but we can see that CMF has his team doing (mostly) the right things.
