One of the Most Depressing Things About This Season...

Is the fact that LSU under Les Miles is 8-1 while the Bulldogs are 5-5.  The reason this depresses me so much is...well...Les Miles is a buffoon.  Seriously, he and his entire coaching staff still haven't managed to grasp one of the simplest facets of the game, clock management.  Yet when it truly matters most, their players make plays.  Despite a two (terrible) QB system, they've managed to average 25.3 ppg, while their defense has held their opponents to 16.2 ppg.

I could do quite a bit of analysis here, but the short version is that when you analyze UGA's performance this season and compare it to LSU's, it looks to me like the Bayou Bengals just have the better head coach.  And that's a tough pill for me to swallow.

Edit:  I also want to give Les Miles credit for snatching up John Chavis as soon as he had the chance while our head coach decided to give Willie Martinez another year on the job.  I'll admit, I thought giving Martinez another year was the right call at the time, but I'm man enough to admit that I was wrong, and I don't get paid more than $2 million a year to make those decisions.

To be clear, this is not a "Fire Mark Richt" post, just a general "wallowing in self-pity at the state of the program" post.
