But whatever was said, that game was awesome.
One of the Michigan/Iowa commentators asked why Michigan didn’t schedule a mullet for homecoming. I’m assuming he meant “mulligan,” although scheduling a mullet for homecoming sounds like fun.

I know this is the non-Georgia-game thread...
… but after watching that game in the stadium, I have to say that is one of the nuttiest blowouts by Georgia I have ever experienced. I joked on Twitter that it was WTF Day.
And, I mean, it really was. At one point during the game, A.J. Green had 3 straight drops, including a potential TD, Kris Durham had two long receptions of over 40 yards (including one TD)… and Georgia was still blowing the other team out.
We could've hung 60 on 'em
but there are still a few defensive lapses that are maddening, specifically: covering the wheel route.
Still happy with the shutout. Now, let’s see if we can get through the week without any Tomfoolery.

I did pretty much whiff on the collaring ceremony. In my defense, though, it was very a fast thing, and they didn’t follow the prompting that the stadium announcer was trying to give them.
The announcer started reading from his script when the golf cart carrying the dogs emerged from the tunnel, and he continued for a good 6-7 minutes. From the time the golf cart emerged until the time that the moved the collar from Russ to Uga was about 90 seconds.
Everybody then basically just stood there listening to the announcer as he said things like, “Sonny Seiler will transfer the collar from Russ to Uga,” several minutes after it already happened.
Everybody got to raise a loud cheer for the new Uga, though, so we were all happy. I even admit that I teared up. :-)

all the way home. Auburn plays “mean” (sic). We are the best at “chop blocks” (no clue what a “chop block” is, but word on the street is that we rule at them) and late hits, and when that doesn’t work, just pay off the refs! It works though. The end justifies the means, I always say.

We scored 43 points in a shut out. Arkansas scored 43 points and lost by 22.

You know these last two weeks have been great, but you should realize two things:
1) It’s still unlikely that we’re going to beat Florida.
2) We straight-up ain’t beating Auburn as long as Cam Newton is playing.

Well, other than Ryan Mallett...
… the teams that have given us the most trouble so far are teams with mobile quarterbacks that can make plays when we collapse the pocket. And Cam Newton certainly falls under that heading.

I still have it in my head
that UGA is as good on offense as Ark and SC, so I’d think we could put up at least as many points as SC does on UK, and hopefully we’ll be able to put some points up on Auburn. The only question then becomes whether or not we can stop the Auburn offense, which as you pointed out becomes a scary proposition.

I've Already Told Georgia
how to beat Auburn again. Make sure the game is scheduled for 11:00 am (noon “dawg” time). Auburn’s players won’t be able to wake their butts up. Unless we turn the sprinklers on them and give them tons of caffeine. And I wouldn’t bet the farm that even that will work. Auburn just needs to pay whomever decides the kickoff time more than Athens pays them to make it a night game.

Florida already has 2 SEC losses, and we have 3. If we beat Florida, we’re tied.
South Carolina now will have 2 SEC losses, so if they run the table, they’re still in. They still have to play both Arkansas and Florida, though. So if they lose to both of them, they’ll have 4 SEC losses. That means a tie between UGA and Florida, and UGA would have the tiebreaker.
So, to net that out, we’d get the opportunity to get beat by Alabama by 92 in Atlanta.

Florida has the bye week… blah blah blah. But teams that aren’t playing well typically don’t respond well to pressure… and if UF loses to Miss St and Mullen, there will be pressure like their players have never felt before.

…this still isn’t how an upset is built. Always good to worry and we can still lose the game (but it will be because KY is better than us if they do) but recent history or not, this is more of a trap game for them than us. KY could be favored at home at night after beating #10, They beat us last year and they just got a win over a top ten team. The years they beat us in the past, when WE were the top 25 team and usually coming off a win over Auburn, KY usually followed it with a loss. It’s just the way it works in football, there is a let down following a big win and it’s how the team adjusts and copes that determines if you make it. Remember Auburn in 2007 following our beatdown of UF? Auburn jumped out to a lead and things didn’t look good. That was the hangover…we adjusted and won, but the fact remains that teams lose a little following big wins and KY will be no different.
Ole Miss playing Alabama after they lost their first game in 10 years is very bad for them.

What's really messed up...
… is that South Carolina just got their bubble burst, but they’re still alone in first place in the SEC East.
I'm not sure anyone wants to win the SEC East.
Its like no one wants to be the East team to lose to whichever West team gets in. We’re all competing to see who can lose the most games without looking like we did it on purpose.
It's hard for me to say this but...
we were a hair away from winning against Ark and stayed tough for 3 quarters against Ms State. Had we won the two, we would’ve been in first place in the SEC East

I am a HUGE believer in the bye week. I believe it is a big reason they have dominated us for the better part of 2 decades. The SEC seems to agree and will be adjusting the schedules in future years to assure that UGA and UF alternate bye weeks from now on.

I think the bye week was always half of it.
Back in the good old days, Georgia always had a bye before playing Florida, but Florida also always played Auburn the week before they played Georgia.
Having that game against a tough SEC rival always takes a little something extra out of you, even if you win.
