Best of luck to Reshad Jones...
… but if that’s true about Rennie (and I suspect that it is)… that hurts for 2010.
Our depth at linebacker is shockingly thin, and while we have some defensive backs that can pick up where Reshad left off, I don’t think we have anyone remotely capable of filling Rennie’s shoes next year.
I was going against my new depressive nature and harboring some hope for 2010 as having the potential to be a special year. Now, however, I see a team losing its 5 best players on defense and asking a redshirt freshman with literally zero collegiate playing experience to start at the most important position in its offense (quarterback.)
Dadgummit.
i think a new staff brings new energy - which is good, and can offset somethings. i call it a push right now on that one

Correct . . .
. . . and there is some virtue to bringing in new starters along with a new staff. Guys who haven’t seen the field have fewer bad habits to “unlearn.”
Obviously, I hate to see any Bulldogs go pro early (from my selfish perspective; I don’t fault them for their decisions and I wish them well), but, if it had to happen, there are worse times for it to happen than in the midst of a coordinator switch.
Go 'Dawgs!
yea
although i am not a Reshad fan (who is) and I dont see him getting drafted very high (he sees the low hanging fruit right now apparently) he likely would have improved in 2010 and been decent. Losing our best defensive player does hurt though. Our LB core will need a serious revamp.
Can we recruit any bulldogs anymore, or can we just plan on getting great players on good for 3 years? We dont even have a QB for four years anymore (that plays). If we are going to have this much turnover – then we have got to get more like USC and get very deep – pretty much everywhere.
We have tons of talent, but still manage to be thin in a few areas – and it seems to happen annually. We need LBs and DEs. Our QB situation has been kinda rough. Our O Lines seem to turnover in bunches rather than a few every year. dadgummit.
