It was ultimately overshadowed by the controversial celebration flag that followed, but A.J. Green's leaping grab over LSU's Chris Hawkins to give Georgia a late fourth-quarter lead on Oct. 3 stands as the year's most jaw-dropping display of athleticism. . . .
Of course, the Tigers answered with the winning touchdown seconds later after being handed good field position by the penalty, but doesn't make Green any more coverable.
Dr. Saturday gives props to A.J. Green for making one of the plays of the year . . . unfortunately, in a loss.

Still seething over that one...
Our defense played reasonably well back in early October. It was truly a “bend but don’t break effort” until the very end. Joe Cox played well, Tavarres King came up clutch to set up A.J.’s would-be game winner.
Alas, we couldn’t close the deal because of Directional Kicking and Directional Defense (you know, the kind where the other team travels in the direction of our end zone and scores.) I still belive the hangover from that doomed us vs. the Vols later on…
But I still liked our chances to win the game if Marc Curles travelling circus doesn’t absolutely screw us with about 1:09 left to go.
I know…I know…Let it go…let it go….NEVER, I SAY! GATA LaTAKOS!
