3. Mark Richt

Richt has had one bad season in nearly a decade at Georgia. The Bulldogs continue to collect talent — nearly 20 players have been good enough to leave early for the NFL this decade. That said, Richt had better have a good season in 2010. As the dean of SEC coaches, he’s becoming stale in Athens and fans are starting to wonder if someone else might be able to do a Saban-like number on Georgia. (The fear should be that someone might do a Kiffin-like number on Georgia.) If Todd Grantham is the answer at defensive coordinator, the Bulldogs could return to previous form.

Mr. SEC says Mark Richt is the league's third-best coach, behind only Nick Saban and Urban Meyer. (Hat tip: Leather Helmet Blog.) In the what-have-you-done-for-me-lately world of the Southeastern Conference, though, third place doesn't come without a few criticisms.

UGA did miss a couple of shots at an NC, but, as you have said, we also had UF at an all time high and LSU not doing bad either

Considering the BCS era is pretty much S E C – it’s tough to be a dawg. However, considering the talent pools we had – it kinda stinks we never reeled one in.

But 2010 is a new time.

The poster is right on one count for sure, going after someone by firing CMR has a much greater chance of gettting “Kiffen’d” than anything.

“Getting Kiffen’d” is becoming popular vernacular.

The record stinks against UF, but I believe Richt’s teams are .500 against LSU, winning three of the last four, so there’s that.
