While there’s no doubt Mark Richt could silence some fan grousing by dumping his defensive coordinator, none of the rumbling about Coach Martinez has come anywhere close to threatening Coach Martinez’s job security, much less Coach Richt’s.

Heck, I don’t even think Willie’s on the hot seat, although I think he should be. Mark certainly isn’t. Damon Evans knows that there may not be a coach out there, and certainly isn’t a coach we’re likely to land, who could offer us a better chance at beating the Gators and winning a national title, and firing your head coach in order to get a new defensive coordinator is cutting off your nose to spite your face in a big way.
