Jon Richt to transfer from Clemson
There is no shortage of father-son connections between nearby rivals Georgia and Clemson---see, e.g., the Harpers, the Kings, the Mells, and the Moroccos---but, to my knowledge, this is the first time one of those connections has ended with the son transferring out.

Sorry to see it...
… but I’m sure it’s surprising to exactly no one. Richt went there because of Tommy Bowden, and now that Tommy’s gone, Richt has no reason to be there, especially since he’s not in the race for significant playing time.
Best of luck to the eldest Richt son wherever he chooses to transfer and play.
