I found myself a little depressed, but this helped
A 7-5 season doesn't exactly cause me to be hopeful for the future. The departures of Cox, Martinez and company did make me feel a little bit better, kind of. The departure of Tebow helped, as did the potential departure of Strong. But still and all, GA Tech went to the ACC Championship and we did not go to the SEC championship, it's just depressing. Knowing we're going to the Poulan Weedwhacker Advocare V100 Independence Bowl in Shreveport didn't help. But what did I find on the internet, but a reason to be hopeful for next year. Thank you Bleacher Report for this slideshow.
If we can also pull off convince Evans to open up the checkbook enough to get Smart, well next year could just be lovely and we could possibly be in contention for a trip to the MNC in Arizona.

the last picture is why i had problems with cox
Murray shows a high release, and his body is fully into the throw, almost painfully so (which will improve with the off season and coaching). It was rare to see Cox really plant and throw like that.

well it certainly looks like that physical stance is painful,
but tell me why the high release is important? Is it simply because it is faster & higher and therefore requires more effort to pick off?

A quick release, ala Dan Marino isnt a bad thing, but rare, but yes, you need to throw over the line
but more importantly are sound throwing fundamentals. I have no doubt in 3 years our young redshirt will throw further than Cox. They already give him some Stafford comparisons. It isnt perfected, but his basic throwing fundamentals are more sound. Stepping into the throw and using your body applies just as it does in baseball, or in swinging a golf club. The higher throw is in part of the increased body action – you are whipping your arm as opposed to just throwing with your arm. If you whipped your arm with your body like that, but kept your arm low – you would throw in the dirt.
result: a faster throw with less arc yet over the linemen. and this is why we are going to when an SEC next year.

now that makes sense to me,
oddly enough I was an asst baseball coach for one of my kids teams one year when we used the dead-eye pitching method. Despite my complete inability to actually hit or throw a baseball, I understood the necessary mechanics of the thing. One of my jobs was to work with the pitcher (my other job was to keep the dugout settled down – 10 yr old boys can be rowdy.) He had great talent, but a rotten “I’m entitled because I’m amazing” attitude. So we went over fundamentals of pitching a baseball over and over and over again.
Also, golf is a good way to ruin an otherwise pleasant walk.
I believe we’ll be in good shape to win the SEC East, but I wonder about beating ’bama?

Everytime I find myself depressed,
I set my sights on Monday and get myself undressed.

Podunk, I assure you my getting undressed is not a pretty sight.

now I can't get the song out of my head....so not fair
especially when I’m spending my afternoon reading 50 pages of pure internal controls questions for an auditor.
