Chick-fil-A Bowl: Couldn't Have Happened to a Nicer Guy
EA Sports told you so . . . and so did I! (Hey, I'm wrong so frequently, I have to take my successes where I can find them!)
Just imagine how much we'd have heard about Lane Kiffin and his coaching staff if they hadn't gone 7-6! How ever could we have doubted him? Does this one count as a moral victory, too?

Master Plan
Getting butt whooped by the Hokies – Check!
The sad thing is that Tennessee really did nothing of note this year except whip the Dogs. Two “moral victories” (losses) and another win over a mediocre South Carolina team was all they accomplished outside beating us. But I guess when you are wearing rose or orange colored glasses everything looks good.
Lol lol lol lol
Tenn – to quote earlier this year – you suck! Thanks to kiffen and the overbearing fans here I pulled against tenn in a bowl for the first time ever. Enjoy that very large crow pie you served up!

7-6
It’s still unbelievable that we lost so badly to the Vols. It must have been the emotional let down after getting robbed against LSU.
I agree
I also think that had a lot to do with how the rest of our season went. The kids played well against the Bengal Tigers and had it taken away from them for a ridiculous penalty. I’m the biggest fan of “act like you’ve done it before” and “show them you expected to win” and all that stuff, but to ask a kid not to be excited when he scores a go ahead touchdown against a top 5 or at least top 10 team is insane.
No excuses
The Bulldogs were beaten by a Volunteer team that clearly was the better team that day. I take nothing away from Tennessee for that victory; they earned it, and I’m not going to attribute the loss to any cause other than our team’s having been outcoached and outplayed.
However, we stunk, and that was the Big Orange’s only meaningful victory of the season. I think we have a pretty realistic idea of where our program stands and how to improve it. The Tennessee fan base, ordinarily one of my favorites, has caught Lane Kiffin’s disease and is in the process of proving that a fish rots from the head down.
Coach Kiffin fils has brought nothing but unwarranted arrogance to Knoxville. (The recruiting acumen and stout defense were there already.) Man, I’ll be glad when this bombastic unaccomplished jackass is gone from the Vol sideline!

I thoroughly enjoyed
Watching Kiffin as he sulked during the Hokies final nail-in-the-coffin touchdown drive, and as he silently extended a half-hearted handshake to Beamer. He looked like a spoiled kid who didn’t get what he wanted. Even if UT manages some success on the field (a tall-task in 2010), Kiffin is corrupt. We know it, the NCAA knows it, and in their heart of hearts, UT fans know it.

You're right, Dave . . .
. . . but who cares? He’s turned their program around! He took over a program that recruited well, played good defense, and lost seven games last year, and, in just one season, he transformed it into a program that recruits well, plays good defense, and lost six games this year! Everybody’s talking about ’em, so they must be doing something right! BCS or bust, baby! Woooooo!
(Do you smell that? That’s sarcasm, boys and girls!)
