Joe Schad Reporting Martinez Out as DC
I guess Richt went with option one, get a new guy in to get some December practice under a new system.

Totally unconfirmed rumormongering . . .
go:
1) Schad was apparently talking to some guy who claimed to be CWM’s agent but actually wasn’t. He’s now saying there won’t be any announcement at this time, which I think is ESPN talking head for “I ran with this one too soon.”
2) There is an alleged team meeting scheduled for 4 p.m. No idea whether it is planned, unplanned, or what. They could be getting together to watch Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and make s’mores. Why not?
3) There’s an awful lot of smoke coming out of Athens for there to be no fires. Special bonus rumor: Willie is out on the road telling recruits himself, and that’s why he started with Nickell Roby, our CB commitment (and Carlton Thomas’s cousin) from Frostproof, FL and perhaps the most likely recruit to defect if Martinez leaves.
4) I’ve been working on my 3 part post examining various Willie replacements, so if he’s retained or they announce his successor at the same news conference, I might literally weep.
That was all horribly irresponsible and likely inaccurate (except #4). But it’s what’s floating around on the dadgum intertubes.
Schad does this a good bit...
talking head for "I ran with this one too soon."
That, or pulling things down off the interwebz and claiming it’s a “scoop”

Well, as long as we're spreading around unsubstantiated rumors...
… what I’ve heard is that they’re going to move CWM to a non-coaching position in the administration. Which is just fine with me… as long as he’s not responsible for coaching anyone on tackling fundamentals or setting (or, rather, not setting) defensive schemes.
Schultz and Towers now confirming from the AJC as well
Looks like a done deal. Fabris, Martinez and Jancek are all out.
