As if that were not official enough . . .
. . . the school has issued a press release, which is as official as you can get.
Go 'Dawgs!

Zooked___part deux
Richt says DC probably won’t be named until after the bowl game___yet he is now 0-2 for those we KNOW he went after. Hmmmm!
I think we have sufficient evidence that we went after Foster, however,
I don’t think we have any evidence at all that we went after Koenning, and I’m inclined to believe we did not and that any/all rumors that suggest we did were “leaked” by Koenning’s people.
That said, I suspect we went after Foster, he turned us down and CMR is working on someone else. With the funds we apparently are willing to spend, I think CMR may get Smart or someone of that caliber. The problem with getting Smart is i don’t think we’ll know until after the MNC.

I can't believe CMR
went after him – I smell an agent spreading bread crumbs to find his way. Only a fool would pick Illinois over an SEC team.
CMR will get the right guy and we will all (most anyway) be smiling. Getting the right guy is far more important than meeting a deadline created on the web.
Move along?? Nothing to see here????
Oh, so all of a sudden, the illustrious Mr. King doesn’t care about the search for a new defensive coordinator at the university he claims to love so much? Come on, man just admit that Georgia’s program is now so pathetic that they can’t even beat out a team like Illinois when they’re trying to hire a coach.
Lane Kiffin already owns your ass, and the funny thing is that you don’t even realize it yet. For that matter, Nick Saban, Gene Chizik, and Corch Urban Meyers all own your ass, too. I guess you must have a really big ass.
Have fun losing to every rival you’ve ever had for the next 10 years.

(Have I correctly anticipated the “hater” response? Also known as the “Auburn/Tennessee Response.”)
That was actually a little bit creepy, vineyarddawg
I hope “I guess you must have a really big ass” was directed metaphorically to Bulldog Nation, not literally to me personally.
If, in fact, we have a really big ass, though, it’s because of eating all of podunkdawg’s baked goods and DavetheDawg’s sticks of butter.
Go 'Dawgs!
This year was a baked goods anomaly.
I was depressed, when I’m depressed, I bake stuff. Somehow brownies make it a bit easier to swallow a loss.

yep, kinda like that.

Well, if the haters are anything...
… they’re fairly predictable in their responses. The “ass” remark was really just a nod towards the casual profanity that is invariably pervasive in such posts, combined with random, uncalled-for personal attacks.
I decided to call off the satire before making a joke about Uga’s hindquarters, however, which in my opinion was too uncouth to even joke about. You don’t mess with the dog.

Have you seen today's flights?
Me thinks someone is randomly flying GGA1 all over Florida just to throw watchers off.

podunkdawg there's a very reasonable explanation . . .
we’re about to enter the recruiting dead period (when coaches can’t contact high school players), so I think the coaches are out getting face time with all of our commitments/targets. We have quite a few of those in Florida, including the ones most likely to stray from their commitments.
That thought occured to me also,
however, according to the flight plans, the plane would only stay on the ground about 10 – 30 minutes in any one place before taking off again, which is what confused me.

All's well that ends well
They didn’t like Koening at Clemson. I’m don’t think he would be an improvement over what we just got rid of. I hope we are looking for better than him.
