Dan Hawkins gets a chance to host the Dawgs for the first time
The Boulder, CO, Daily Camera is reporting that the University of Colorado has already decided to retain Dan Hawkins for another year.
If this is true, then the 2010 season will mark Dan Hawkins' third time playing the University of Georgia as a head coach, but only the first home game. Hawkins was the head coach of the Boise State team that got walloped in Sanford Stadium in the 2005 season opener, and then the following year was the first-year head coach of the Colorado team that got Cox'ed 14-13 on the last Georgia drive of the game. (Which, unless I'm mistaken, was the first and only time that Joe Cox led Georgia down the field on a last-minute, game-winning drive.)
I don't know if this is good or bad for Georgia, but with the Bulldogs making the trip to Boulder next season, it's certainly relevant.
