PrintIt is now painfully apparent to me:
1. That UGA has an ACC caliber coaching staff trying to make it in the SEC.
2. That this staff does the worst job of developing and maximizing talent once it gets to Athens__see, e.g., Matthew Stafford.
3. That this staff is the absolute worst at gameday coaching__if you can’t motivate a team to “finish the drill” with a two touchdown lead against a clearly inferior team, then you certainly never will beat Fla, Alabama, LSU, or a Paul JOhnson Ga Tech team on a consistent basis.
4. That the decision to redshirt Aaron Murray ranks higher on the dumbass list than the decision to reshirt Knowshon Moreno.
5. That if T. Kyle in this week’s SEC power poll has Georgia ahead of ANYBODY other than 12. Vandy, 11. Mississippi State, 10. South Carolina, then he is either dreaming or smoking some good stuff or both.
A third tier SEC team 14 months after being expected to challenge for the national championship. Disgusting and Disgraceful. But wait, 6-6 was my preseason prediction for this bunch. Why am I complaining?

I said this last night… We’ve lost to Kentucky as many times under CMR’s watch as he’s beaten Florida. That’s the state of the program. The Kentucky/Georgia match up is as competitive as the Georgia/Florida match up.
Equally Disgusted
…and now we have to endure a drubbing by the Jackets who are sharpening their stingers right about now. I’m sure that excuses will be made, and the old saying “it was our best chance to win” will surface again. My point from last week was made very clear last night. Everyone was talking about how good UGA was, after playing good for one half and beating a ( not so good ) Auburn team. NOW people are forced to see just how inept our coaches are ! And whatsup with red-shirting ALL our QB’s? Now we have none with any experience….what good is being here an extra year if they are not valuable to us? I say start playing Mettenberger. (the big local kid)

and I don’t like the looks of the future. CMR has a serious problem – the coaching staff sucks. The success we have had is a result of gifted athletes not stellar coaching.
Would any SEC team (or any ACC team for that matter) hire any of the current staff? CMR is likely doomed (which bothers me greatly) unless he cleans house and I don’t see that happening. This staff doesn’t need tweaking or minor adjusting – it needs a complete overhaul.
I have been a rabid fan since attending my first game in 1966. The only games I have missed came when I was in the service and I have never been more disillusioned.
1. And watch an actual ACC coaching staff rip ours into shreds next week, in all likelihood.
2. You’re absolutely right. These past two years have been some of the most talented teams in the history of our program, and there is just about nothing to show for it.
4. I’ve been saying that since week 3. I understand Murray had some kind of injury, but the minute he was back to playing form we should have thrown him in there. Now, there is the possibility that we’ll be going through some of this same crap next year.
5. Vandy’s a lock at 12. But at least MS State is competitive in its games (with the second least-talented team, probably, in the league), and honestly I’d probably rank South Carolina ahead of us, too.
