Penn is in Auburn
And Mark Curles is suspended so hopefully that means a evenly called game.

This just in . . .
Iowa’s undefeated football team gets an SEC-ish call on a replay, overturning an Indiana td that would have put the Hoosiers up by 2 TD’s late in the third. Indiana then remembers that it is Indiana and misses the resulting 20 yard field goal attempt. Big 10 football: like watching two wombats fight to the death with egg beaters!

If they aren’t really getting their feet under them, I’m ok with them thinking they’re awesome for beating an overrated Ole Miss squad.

Tebow is creepy
When I was Tebow’s age, I was mixing drinks, trying to score chicks, and generally be cool.
He is in the Phillipines cutting the tallywhackers off of dark skinned Melanesians.
There is really something fundamentally wrong with this.

Tebow is different but he's not creepy
I know doing anything else but trying to score chicks and get wasted sounds foriegn to some people, but hate Tebow because he’s a Gator, not because he can go through college without acting immature.

Thanks for the love
I lived in Philly for two years and all my friends there were Penn Staters. Despite my hate for the Big 10, I loved me some Penn State, my adopted second team (as all my friends there adopted the Daegs as their team as well). Your wishes for the best are much appreciated around here. Cheers

GA is my “other” favorite college team. I got to go to some games in Athens when I lived in Atlanta. Always a good time! GA fans were always fun and respectful, unlike Gator fans, who would look and you and say “Penn State Sucks, JoePa is old”, Not much for originality, those Gators
btw, I had to turn the Iowa game off. Officiating is shameful

I just hope the crowd gives them the energy they need from this
Cause the whole reason to do this, is to pump up the crowd get them into it, and maybe even the gators will get distracted by it. But its all about how you play, not what you wear. The only reason we roll our eyes at stuff like this is because we lost so badly in the past. But if we win we love it. We loved it when we beat AU and Hawaii, but one loss and we all of assuden are afraid of it.

I have now turned down the sound
I got sick of it after Gary Danielson’s determination from the booth that Tim Tebow told Prince Miller “nice tackle,” and his reference to Tebow and “Georgia’s defensive captain.” Does the kid have a name? Does CBS have a media guide?
The officiating is horrendous. Where was the flag for holding on the long screen pass that picked up the Florida first down? Since when is a tackle that begins in bounds and ends out of bounds a penalty? What was with the penalty on the clearly uncatchable ball?
Our defense looks awful, but the refs are giving this one to them. It’s ridiculous.

Here's how desperate our situation has become:
I’d actually approve of our players wearing Auburn uniforms . . . and I hate Auburn.
You know what else might help? Having Tommy Tuberville run our D. Just sayin’.

What might we be?
If we had a DC that wasn’t a functioning moron. I’m so sick of WM, he’s constantly getting outcoached and outschemed. It’s plain as day. Please get rid of this guy. The penalties as usual are killing us too. Can we have one week without all of the same frustrations, one week where the penalties are under control, one week where the defense plays with lights out intensity and is a step ahead of the offense? I can’t stand this guy, he has got to go, get him out of here.

by thefirstgenesis on Oct 31, 2009 5:19 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Damon Evans can't make that decision
It has to be Richt. If Evans is forcing his hand that’s bad for the program.

Damon has made it crystal-clear . . .

It is the road to success...
it leads to change…Richt has the ability to turn this around easy. We have the kids to do this. W/o a good coach we cannot beat talented and well coached teams. There is a reason we destroy weak teams. We have talent with crap coaches. Talent will keep you in a game, but coaching wins it.
by Merk on Oct 31, 2009 5:30 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
The situations aren't comparable
We’re not talking about a meddlesome owner who breaks about four levels of the chain of command in the latest in a series of interventions in day-to-day operations. Damon Evans is Mark Richt’s immediate superior and he has shown no history of being heavy-handed. One move for the good of the program doesn’t make him Al Davis, Jerry Jones, or that guy who owns the Redskins. (Snyder?)

You see the penalties and missed assignments and don’t put it all on your “brother”. You may get orders from Evans to start a quite off-season campaign to find him an “opportunity” elsewhere, but that is unlikely to happen. Get ready folks…CWM will be back for one more year.

Keys to the game
Cox play well…failed. Win turnover margin…failed. Eliminate penalties…failed. Coaching imagination on both sides of the ball….failure for CWM and D; D- grade for Bobo…nice mix, but no imagination, use of best players, etc. 2 weeks to prepare, and we fail like this. And stupid uniforms.
