Week Seven BlogPoll Ballot Draft
I cannot stress strongly enough that this is a preliminary draft of my BlogPoll ballot. I started with last week’s ballot and made adjustments based upon this week’s results. I am open to constructive criticisms and plan to make changes between now and the Wednesday morning deadline. Here is the top 25 I submitted earlier this evening:

| Last week's ballot | ||
Last week, I forgot to mention what I watched; this week, I tuned in to the Arkansas State-Louisiana-Monroe game on Tuesday, the Boise State-Tulsa game on Wednesday, the Cincinnati-South Florida game on Thursday, the Pittsburgh-Rutgers game on Friday, and the Georgia-Vanderbilt game on Saturday. Naturally, I watched various portions of several other games on Saturday, most notably the Arkansas-Florida and Notre Dame-Southern California games.
Rather than offer any explanations at this juncture, I prefer to throw the floor open for feedback and respond accordingly. Your thoughts upon my ballot not only are welcome, they are solicited openly. Thanks in advance for your insights and inquiries.

Are you real sure that
South Florida has a more impressive resume than, say, Central Michigan?
Destroying your traditions since [YEAR REDACTED].

I am not at all sure that South Florida has a more impressive resume than Central Michigan . . .
. . . and I am entirely prepared to be convinced that the reverse is the case.
My solicitation of constructive criticisms was sincere. If you think the Chippewas (or any other unranked team) deserve inclusion more than the Bulls, I am listening.
Thanks for your feedback.

Let's try this one...
Ohio State’s resume vs. Texas Tech’s? Two 5 and 2 teams, but Tech has two road losses against ranked teams, and tOSU has a home loss against a ranked team a few spots ahead of USC on your ballot. Tech has a road victory over Nebraska, which was ranked a week ago on your ballot. With Wisconsin losing in consecutive weeks, it’s less clear that tOSU even has a quality victory.
I beg you consider taking tOSU out of the top 25 all together, and, perhaps, replacing them… Texas Tech? I think you’d be impressed with the way our defense is playing as well.
If a two loss team deserves to be on this list at all, I think Tech should get considered.

Ugh...
Let me try that again…
tOSU has losses to Purdue (unranked) on teh road and USC (5th) at home. Tech has a road loss to Texas (2nd) and Houston (18th). Nebraska looks about as good as Wisconsin, and tOSU got them at home.

Fair points
I’ll definitely bear them in mind when making my ballot revisions tomorrow evening. Thanks.
