Vaya con Dios?

Been listening to your Slim Whitman record there, T. Kyle?

Absolutely!

Slim Whitman sold more records than the Beatles, you know. . . .

Go 'Dawgs!

I'm certain...

that Nick Saban was responsible for them leaving, being that he’s run everybody else out of town, too. Even if you don’t play them in the regular season for another four years…

Cox is still around to succeed Stafford?

Yep

That’s the saving grace of this situation . . . well, that, and having mounds of experience on the offensive line.

Go 'Dawgs!

WEA...

I think there is enough petty Bama/AU trash talk going on over at TeT….

When you are an Alabama fan you are expected to hate Auburn, I hate Tennessee because I want to.

Bad or good decisions?

It’s seems to be a good one for Matt (if ya like 0-16 and Detriot), but maybe not so for Knowsohn.

Matt = high draft pick, maybe even Number 1 – I’d persoanlly take Bradford or T-Blow (if he goes) . Cox, Logan, and the pups will handle it. Cox is maybe more of a team player than MS.

KRM = maybe not even in the first round. The long NFL season will take it’s toll on him. No more bouncing up talking smack after those NFL hits. Also, his habit of taking himself out will not sit too well. It shouldn’t have in Athens. Don’t forget Ealey, if he can get in school.

It's a gas, gas, gas.

really?

Most of the scouts are drooling over the both of them with Moreno being listed as the #1 RB in the draft & Staff anywhere from 1 to 4 depending on who’s ranking. Either way, the risk/reward profile for a TB skews heavily in favor of grabbing the ring as early as possible. Your point about the long NFL season really on reinforces the decision to make money off of every carry he’s got left. Matt might have benefited from an additional year of polishing, but it’s hard to fault either of them, no matter how much we’d love to have them around a bit longer.

only

as in “really ONLY reinforces the decision”, not on.

These two owed UGA more than what they gave.

My opinion — and I say it as an outsider, clearly, and with as much respect as possible — is that UGA fans have a right to be irritated or even disappointed by this. Stafford leaves having accomplished literally nothing — not even a conference championship. And he and Moreno leave after a disappointing 9-3 year, a year in which greater things were expected of them.

It is/was clear to me that Stafford is all about going pro, and not all about being a college quarterback. I realize that any first round projection has to seriously consider going pro, but jeez… Leinart stayed. It’s not the end of the world to finish your college career.

Leinart...

isn’t a very good example of why Matt should stay. He went from a concensus #1 to the #10 pick, giving up a huge chunk of change for the pleasure. I’m sure the Leinart example helped Matt make the decision to go.

FWIW, I can’t believe I’m arguing against a Gator as to why Stafford and Moreno don’t owe Georgia more, but nonetheless here we are. No college athlete can stay forever and no individuals, no matter how great, in a team sport should be obligated to deliver anything but their personal bests. Matty may have driven us crazy some times, but he was a great qb and a great leader for the team. And no one can question KRM’s talent, energy, or will to win. Sure it’d be nice to have them around for one more year, but we can’t be upset for losing them.

I guess so.

Sure, sounds good. Still, it feels like Stafford left without really caring that his legacy at UGA won’t be a great one.
