Th Defeat of the OMG Best Team Ever!!!!

The trojans experienced significantly more friction than they expected in being recently pounded by the beavers.  Unfortunately trojans, you are not the emaculate receptacle of the form of all-time colleg dominance that you have been currently annointed.  Did you feel so bad about what you did to OSU that you had to give the Big Ten a reason to look good?  Yeah, Goooooo Penn State right?  Georgia do me a favor and realize your ability to make the pundits wake the F up and recognize that the future lies ahead, and our team has never had more incentive to play hard.  Offensive line, the spirit is speaking through me and it telss me ye shall gel!!!!!!

I can't spell sorry!

Just energized by a wave of unsurpressable joy I haven’t felt since Trinton took a watch.

That's all right; we know what you mean

It truly was a sight to behold.

The top-ranked Trojans lost on national T.V. while Erin Andrews stood on the sidelines looking even more fetching than usual. A good time was had by all.

What was up with Oregon State’s uniforms, though? Egad!

Go 'Dawgs!

I don't know Kyle . . .

I actually thought they were slightly less seizure-inducing than usual. But then again, I was distracted by Pete Carroll making Steve Spurrier faces on the sidelines, among other things.

Yeah!!

I was watching the faces and pacing up and down the sideline, trying to think of who that reminded me of….Bingo!

Well this sure opened things up

With USC more or less out of the mix, the margin of error in the Big 12 and SEC just got huge. Nobody has to worry about getting shut out if undefeated. With the schedules that Ohio State and USC play, a one loss SEC/Big 12 champ would most likely get the nod over one of them. The ball is now in the courts of OU, Mizzou, Bama, LSU, UF, and UGA. Most importantly, I’m just glad we don’t have to deal with the “where would USC stack up with the best teams of all time” theme for the rest of the season.

Additionally, after watching last nights game, I think that Ohio State dropped the ball by not playing Pryor against the Trojans even more than I already did. Boekman was going to be a sitting duck, and USC’s linebackers are too talented to simply try and bowl over, Beanie or no Beanie. Clearly, the way to attack them is with speed and misdirection. The inside zone that Oregon State kept running was simply deadly. Due to overpursuit by the USC defense, cutbacks abounded for Rogers. Had Ohio State utilized more Pryor from the start, kept moving the pocket, and relied on cutbacks and reads to the inside would have been a much better gameplan. They probably still would have lost, but it would have made for a better game.

Na

Man…that rodgers kid was so small he was able to get behind those big lineman and find the smallest crack. Pryor is big and tall. Sure he’s fast but USC would have been able to get a beed on him.

Don't take life to seriously, you'll never get out alive.

Not entirely my point

What I’m trying to say is that Ohio State was never going to be able to overpower USC on offense. A typical, Big 10, power run deal isn’t the way to get USC on their heels. Speed is the best way to deal with them. Using Pryor in such a manner (not just on runs) probably would have made it a more interesting game.

You're sick of that theme?

I can’t speak for all SC alums, but plenty of us can live without the hype. We don’t need any help alienating the rest of the college football world but ESPN et al seem only too happy to help. The only upside of the beating that SC took last night is once the mainstream press work out the invective for having been shown to rush to judgment too soon (again), nobody has to listen to the puffery that preceded it.

Whoa

How big does this make Georgia-Alabama? Man, I wish I could get to the game this year!

Amen!!

The OL protection is critical. Here’s hoping they continue to gel and neutralize Mt. cody and company.
