The Rising Tide Begins to Ebb

At first, I was worried about Alabama’s resurgence, but then I saw this:

The cover jinx has been passed to a new S.E.C. squad, so all the worrying about injuries may now shift from the Classic City to the Capstone. Julio Jones’s A.C.L. is now officially on the endangered species list and Andre Smith’s sprained knee may prove fatal, like Augustus McCrae’s arrow wound to the same body part.

My thanks go out to Roll ‘Bama Roll for finding this gem. Also, I want to thank all of you who stopped by Dawg Sports during August. The 96,784 page views were the most in a month since January (100,401) and the 64,772 visits were the second-most ever, outpaced only by November 2007 (66,180).

Heck, MaconDawg and I may even have done better than we think, what with the problems at the beginning of the month that likely caused our final totals to be lower than our actual numbers. In any case, we thank you all for coming by and taking part.
