Last Call for BlogPoll Ballot Feedback

The e-mail from MGoBlog’s Brian Cook arrived in my in-basket at 2:38 this morning. (Dude, get some sleep already!)

The 2008 preseason BlogPoll will be coming your way in a week. The ballot I intend to cast remains unchanged from the updated version I posted on August 4.

As was the case a year ago, I take a Burkean approach to my BlogPoll ballot; that is to say, the judgments involved ultimately are mine, but I remain open to persuasive arguments.

In other words, speak now or forever---well, O.K., until September 1 or thereabouts---hold your peace. We’re getting close now, folks. Is it football season yet?

Go ‘Dawgs!

Not a poll, but

I, like many other UGA fans, am the proud holder of 2 season tickets for the Arizona State whoever-they-ares. I did not opt for the bleacher, backless seats in the end zone; rather, I have 30 yard line seats on the Arizona State side about 30 rows up, complete with seat backs. A whopping $149 for each “set” is what I paid, of which $50 per seat is tax deductible. Heck, I have paid $200+ some years for Ga Fla tickets. In addition, I can donate the remaining tickets for other home games to the Boys or Girls Club and receive a certificate for additional tax deduction, assuming I do not want to travel back out there for the other games. Unbelievable!

Studivant done for the year?

TKK, this sucks.

I usually root for UGA unless they’re playing ‘Bama or FSU. I think TS is one of the best tackles in the nation.
