Dawg Datum of the Day

Against Florida in 1981, Herschel Walker carried the ball 31 times for 125 yards and two touchdowns . . . in the second half.

Over the course of the entire contest, the Goal Line Stalker amassed 192 yards on 47 rushes, in addition to catching four passes for 55 yards and another pair of scores. While he was at it, the superb sophomore returned a pair of kickoffs for 32 more yards.

You’ll excuse me if I somehow succeed in resisting the temptation to anoint Tim Tebow as the most superhuman player ever to have taken the field by the St. John’s River.

Go ‘Dawgs!

Is it me?

Or does it seem like we just beat the Gators again. All this mileage we’re gettin’ from last years’ celebration is well worth the price of gas!
