Went down to this years GA/.FLA game and what i noticed before the game started was that in warmups the Georgia players were joking and kidding taking pictures and walking around tossing the ball backnforth to eachother.
When i looked over at the Florida team they were jumping up n down , waving their fist, pumping their arms, lots of adrenaline, eager to start, clapping and yelling at eachother with words of encouragement. NOT GOOD i thought to myself. I would love to see Matthew Stafford yelling at players on the sidelines and in the huddle, waving a towel at the fans, raising his arms up n down, running up n down the sidelines. Knowshon does this from time to time but thats after he (not the team) does something good.
On defense its even worse……… they gotta make some goals for 09’ 1st NO LOSING HOME GAMES, i know its hard in the SEC but so what its a goal, 2nd NO TOUCHDOWNS ALLOWED, if they do score a touch down then make it NO RUSHING/PASSING TD, u see where im going with this, it motivates, rejuvinates and facilitates the Defense into Big and Small goals. Mostly not letting a team blow them out. Erk Russell was good at that. If you run an offense like Dooley used to, then there wont be alot of points scored provided you can run on a defense. I love the Dawgs and have since 1972 but im telling you “You cant fix stupid” If Martinez is allowed to stay on the results are not gonna be good and they’ll eventually let him go but that would mean that we’d have to wait another year or so and what makes that bad is after alot of our talent is gone it will be hard to get back on track again. Kids wanna come to a university that wins National Championships like USC, LSU, OHIO ST., FLORIDA. Coach Richt can be a Great Captain of the ship but if you have bad shipmates your boat will sink eventually because of lack of experience. If yaw think Bobo is fine then so be it hoping he gets better then so be it. Richt needs to put DC and OC with experience for the univ. and its fan, not because of past friendships and favors but do it 4 us .

About as well as Stafford did this year with a young OL when we faced good defenses. You know why we won the Ky game? or Auburn? or Virginia Tech in 06 or UF 07 or any of the other combacks he’s already had? Because Stafford lead us down the field, he leads like Richt leads..with actions not theatrics. Stafford leads by making 3rd and 15 when the team needs it not by jumping up and down. Watch his first year, he USED to do those things and Richt and Bobo coached it out of him so he wouldn’t play with emotion but with cool confidence. When he’s getting rocked and doesn’t trust his line, he makes mistakes but so does everyone else. You want to blame someone for no leadership? Blame Richt..leadership starts from the top, the players reflect their commander. Saban and Meyer don’t wait for leaders, they delegate them like a true commander should. We’re sitting around waiting for someone to come along who just happens to both lead our offense and have played with the defensive captain in pop warner again..it doesn’t happen like that all the time and not everybody is a Tebow. There is a reason why boys become men in boot camp, they are called Drill Instructors. Richt needs to stop being the player’s friend and start demanding excellence, this isn’t a free scholarship, its earned through hard work. If Richt wants a leader, he needs to find the players with leadership ability and flat out demand it from them, stop waiting for kids to work it out themselves.
