Tebow: Cheater

Nothing would please me more than to be able to sling mud at Urban Meyer and the Gators for being cheaters, but this is pretty penny-ante nitpicking at a program that was a cesspool before Steve Spurrier cleaned up the morass and turned Ben Hill Griffin Stadium into "The Swamp."

Likewise, Moore's girlfriend, Maranda Smith, has come up with an excuse of her own.

It's a technical violation of a hair-splitting rule that will never be proven because none of the parties with actual knowledge---Meyer, Moore, Smith, Tebow, and no one else---will ever own up to it.

It's good message board fodder, but it's a non-starter of a non-story that will be long since forgotten by the time we get to Jacksonville.

Let's keep our eyes on the prize. What will get settled by the St. John's River isn't which team's fans can come up with wittier insults; what's on the line on Duval Street is a national championship game berth.
