I apologize in advance for the brevity of this rundown, but tomorrow is going to be a full day with an early start, so I'm going to have to make this quick. With that in mind, here we go:

• For once, I actually enjoyed the Super Bowl itself more than the commercials. This was due to a combination of factors. First of all, I (like Corn Nation) enjoy it when weather has an effect on a football game. Secondly, this year's ads (like the last several years' ads) stunk. Nevertheless, Building the Dam took the time to count down the best of them.
• I owned up to being unhip. The Realist and CW tried to sell me on TiVo. Todd and Sunday Morning Quarterback tried to sell me on text messaging. I am not yet convinced.

Also, couldn't the case be made that the iPod is just a Walkman for the indecisive?

• MaconDawg had a record-setting day yesterday, and deservedly so. Check out his final wrapup, then head over to the Georgia Sports Blog for Paul Westerdawg's look at the skill positions and the offensive line.
• Finally, the cycle of life continues: Dan of Mark May Be Wrong recently welcomed his second child and Class of 66 lost his father. Congratulations, Dan; Class of 66, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I'll get back to you this weekend regarding the Diamond Dogs' season-opening series with defending national champion Oregon State. (Did you know that, since 1886, Georgia's baseball team has won exactly 500 more games than it has lost? It's true . . . the Bulldogs are 1,910-1,410-22 heading into their 120th season of competition.)
