The weekend went by too quickly and football season will be here before you know it, so there's way too much going on for us to waste any time on the usual pleasantries. Just grab that morning cup of coffee, kick back, and get caught up on what you may have missed while you were away:
In case you hadn't heard, we have a starting quarterback.
Good people of Bulldog Nation, it is my honor to present to you . . . Joe Tereshinski III. (Photograph from E.S.P.N.)
Finally, finally, finally, my Florida preview is up at Dawg Sports and the signs are promising, as Utah fans are questioning whether Urban Meyer will win more games this year and Dave will be there to bring good luck to the 'Dawgs.
When I refused to cut Jim Donnan any slack, 82 tried to set me straight . . . twice. As always, 82 made his case well, but I persisted in disagreeing. As a good host, however, I permitted my guest the courtesy of the last word.

This might be a good time to amend my disclaimer to include reader comments alleging the hanging of portraits of Elvis Presley painted on black velvet in the Joseph Henry Lumpkin School of Law by future public officials. Please govern yourselves accordingly. (Image from Collectibles.)
When I made passing reference to former Red and Black entertainment editor Stephen Robinson, the question was raised where the erstwhile Urkel had gone. Fortunately, an answer was forthcoming: Stephen Robinson may be found here.
Any former members of the Redcoat Band who happen to be reading this will want to check out Ludakit's tribute to what it means to be a Redcoat. Actually, it's worth reading, regardless of whether you were ever a member of the band.

A Dawg Sports reader had a retort to all playoff proposals: the superconference!
That's what your fellow Dawg Sports readers and I have been up to this weekend. I hope you have a good week and I'll be posting something new shortly, so stay tuned.
Go 'Dawgs!
