The N.C.A.A. baseball tournament brackets have been announced and the Diamond Dogs, who will host a regional, are the No. 7 seed nationally.  The only S.E.C. team seeded higher than Georgia nationally is No. 4 Alabama, which finished with a 41-19 record identical to the Red and Black's.  

The Bulldogs will open the tournament in Athens on Friday.  Georgia will take on Sacred Heart, which finished 26-28 and won the Northeast Conference tournament title.  This will be the Pioneers' first N.C.A.A. playoff appearance in baseball.  

Florida State (42-19) and Jacksonville (42-17) are the other two schools in the Athens regional. The complete tournament bracket is available here.
